TCP Global wanted to start a line of “pre-formulated” paints designed for Acrylic Pours. If you haven’t seen any examples, they’re all over youtube and it’s pretty cool. Basically, the paint is thinner and much less viscous than normal without losing any of its binding ability or vibrancy and normally requires a lot of mixing to get to the correct consistency. We skipped the hard work and were one of the first retailers to sell paint that was Ready To Pour straight from the bottle for this particular craft.
The Branding Process
Out of all of the brands I helped create with TCP and their affiliate companies, Pouring Masters is the one I can truly stake my claim into and say that I was there from the start and instrumental to its success. Like any branding process, I started with research, drew on paper, cleaned up on the computer, and refined with changes all along the way. The finished product was a combination of my design choices and specific requests by the VP. It was a very exciting day in the office getting all of the sample bottles and boxes in. Nothing quite compares to seeing your art come to fruition.
The Finished Product
As it currently stands, Pouring Masters was a massive hit and is still growing. Every few months new colors are added, new labels are made, new accessories are added under the brand name. The product is sold worldwide and if you’ve never tried it out, it’s a TON of fun. Be prepared though, it’s a little on the messy side for art supplies.
